My family has been camping here in the same site B19 for the past 5 yrs. 3-4 times a year. This year we have only gone twice due to the floor. We love the spot. Its tucked in a cove away from others, right on the water. I would give a 5 star this time but there were other tenants at a site just up the hill from us blasting music so loud we could hear it in our camper. I asked them once to turn down the music just a little bit it never changed. I know, its their sit they can do what they want, but Platter is a quiet place for people to come and relax and just enjoy the view. We were there for 5 days and they were there for 4 of those days. The music started at 8am and ended sharply at 10pm. So they know the rules. If not for the music it is a well kept camp grounds the bathrooms were cleaned daily. The grounds are clean. The sits are clean. It is a very beautiful spot. We will keep coming back every year. Oh, and the ants are ridiculous. Bring some home defense bug spray. This is the only thing I found that will keep them out. Again, we love the place, you will too.

I am glad to have this gentleman back as the attendant. I know the park stays clean and regulated when he is here.

Our time spent at Platter was great with the exception of finding out on our last morning there that several of the campers had been robbed in the night hours and that this happens frequently there. Definitely need some sort of security set up. The place is well kept and clean just make sure to lock your stuff up I guess.

We really had an overall good time. There are a couple of things that I didnt like or understood. The first was the water hook up. It was 50feet away from the slot site. I have to go buy a longer hose and then it ran through the middle of camp. Deal breaker, no. Just a inconvenience. The second was kinda frustrating. We had 2 dirt bike rides ride through our site while we where eating lunch. Again deal breaker, no. Just dont understand why they had to ride right through our camp when the one next to us was empty. But other then those 2 things. The park was clean. The view was amazing. We will be going back in a few weeks.

We had nice view of Lake Texoma. It was very quiet and peaceful. The restrooms were down the drive. We recommend to check out the Choctaw Cultural Center close by!

Love this park, but very disappointed to find that Trail Ride Rd., past the entrance to the park, is now closed.

We had our ice chests stolen one night from midnight to 5am. Woke up with nothing to drink or eat. Only 3 other campers in the park at the time. They also has ice chests stolen.

The attendant at the park was very kind and helpful. We were trying to find a place to put our tent, but fond the locations all around were very rocky. We reserved one spot, and found it did not work because of this, and located another one, it too was rocky, but the ground was better. There were trains that sounded their horns several times thru the night. The park was clean, but the spots were close together.

The park host is constantly walking into camp sites picking up small pieces of debris while the site is currently rented. No campsite etiquette at all. She seems to be preoccupied on focusing strangely on each piece of trash?? She also allows her small young grandson to run from site to site without any supervision. I heard her tell him to go make friends while she works. Very dangerous to say the least. He basically is feed by the campers.
