Enjoyed the stay but did not like that several vagrants visited the restroom and empty camp sites. Also the grass needed mowing.

We love Juniper Point West! Beautiful location and generally quiet. The Cross Timbers hike is a must do if you are physically able.

Beautiful place with lake and allot of trees. Clean bathrooms and 50 amp. We stay in 45 ft 5th wheel. Had no problem getting in and out. The only problem was never saw a host. People camping next to us no reservation. The reservation is on site at pole. We checked due to the late hour noise and people coming and going all night. This could be a hidden gem if it had host or ranger around. The first day we saw cops come in and go down to dayuse area. They followed car out. Bathrooms in dayuse area where very bad volt toilets not cleaned.

Notification for water shut off at site was not sent until 2 days before reservation. Refund policy was past date for full refund. Apparently its turned off annnually after Oct. Could not stay more than 1 night without water hookup, paid for 3. Otherwise site was clean and quiet. Issue with bees swarming upon arrival but they scattered after a while. Close to boat ramp a plus if you have a boat.

Beautifully maintained and clean, tidy. Lots of room, comfortable shade, picturesque views.

East vs West. During the winter months, it's no choice. East is closed thru March. That made the choice easy for us. Our first time at Juniper West, D2.
We knew going in that the water was off at the spaces due to the season, but they do have a centrally located water source for the park. Thisnwas also a first for us and we did have issues with our water pump not creating any water pressure for the weekend.
The real frustration was the tear-down part of the trip. We got everything shut down properly and made our way over to the dump station where we discovered the water pipe was busted I side the post which meant no dump out at this location.
It did not appear to be a new issue as I noticed thinking back no one had used it all weekend.
If you are going to charge full price for services, you MUST have those necessary services available. People have no other option.
With a live-onsite Tennant, this problem should have been fixed as soon as it broke.
This really hung us out to dry.
Big thumbs down to Juniper West this trip.

The lake was beautiful and we had one of the best camp sites. April weather was perfect, warm in the afternoon and cool at night, and for a few days we were almost alone at this location. However, when we left the site in our RV for an hour, we returned to a fire smoldering in the brush between our site and the lake. Apparently, the on-site employee had gone to each site to dump the ashes from the fire pits, but ours had the previous night's coals in it and it started a fire. We returned, saw it, and immediately turned the hose on it, but the water barely reached the edge of the fire. Fortunately, the employee saw what was happening from a few sites away and came running down to attach her hose to ours and we put it out. She apologized, said she'd thought we were gone for good, didn't check the temperature of the coals, and threw them into the brush. It was then that she realized they were still warm, but she still left the site and didn't think to see if anything was burning. She should be better trained, we believe. It's a good thing we came back when we did, To burn the brush between the lake and the sites would have changed the beauty of the area.

Not sure why the water needs to be off. Otherwise it was a great campground...

Very nice and well kept camping experience. We will return on a regular bases. The Recreation.gov campground is maintained better than most state parks.

We use this as an overnight stop when visiting family near DFW and OKC. It is the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
This trip the area was a little noisier than usual because of the bridge construction, but that will be done eventually, we will continue to stay here as needed.

Situationally, but the online booking started nothing to the fact that the water service had been turned off for winter, thus no bathroom or shower as was stated on the website. We made the best of it and traveled across the border to a gas station in Oklahoma to use there bathrooms. We did have to cut of stay short because of this. Otherwise its a great place in warmer weather.

Due to severe weather my trip was cut short. However, for the two days that I stayed there, I really enjoy the campsite and closeness of the facilities. AT&T cellphone service worked great. Fishing front the boat ramp and shore were not favorable, need a boat. I recommend this campsite because of accessibility and overall camp layout.
