Best place Ive been at yet. So peaceful, enough space between camp sites and layed out for individual privacy. Showers were hot and. Grounds were clean. Great weather in Oct. breezes kept bugs away and cool nights had me sleeping outside rather than the camper. Only bummer were all the spiders dropping down from the cover over the picnic tables. Ill know next time to spray with a hose the underside of the roofs, before we set up .

Went to Plowman to enjoy a nice camping trip with my dad, who has been coming here since the 60s. We had a difficult time enjoying ourselves due to the loud music from our neighbors all weekend. The people two sites over did not adhere to quiet hours, we heard music late into the night. the park host conveniently stopped coming around in the evenings, probably so they didnt have to deal with these rowdy individuals. Some also drove a very loud fishing boat around the creek around midnight. Really wouldnt recommend this park anymore, unless they start running off the riff raff. You would be better off staying at a state park.

The park is very clean and pretty. The water views from most sites is amazing. My only concern was that there are lots of burs in the grass. We have dogs and they collected them on every walk in the grass. Most sites are close together, but it’s not a huge issue. We had zero cell service on Verizon, but I did get to read a book, so make sure you have other things to do. If you remote work you will be out of luck We do recommend this park and we will return.

Great campground on the Brazos river with great camp host. The campground is well maintained except for the dump station area. The hose bib needs to changed. It leaks at the threads, no mater how tight you screw on your water hose. Water stands everywhere around the hose bib. There are also holes in the driveway that need to be filled with gravel, also hold water. You will get mud on your tow vehicle and rv when leaving the dump station. I have reported these problems several times to the Recreation. gov maintenance dept and to the camp host over the last several months and nothing has changed.

We enjoy this campground and frequently camp here. The attendant is very nice and welcoming and the sites are good. The only reason I did not give it an excellent rating is because the road from the dump has big potholes that stand with muddy water. I have to clean my trailer after going to the dump area. Hoping that this problem can be attended to so next time I can rate this campground with 5 stars.

Plowman Creek is a great place to camp along the river section of Lake Whitney. Great host and staff. The dump station area needs improvements by replacing the hose bib/faucet and filling in some holes in the driveway. The hose bib/faucet leaks when you attach a water hose to clean out your holding tanks. It doesn't mater how tight you place the water hose on the faucet it leaks and the area becomes muddy. Something is wrong with the threads on the faucet. There is also a couple of holes in the driveway that needs some gravel. We always enjoy camping at Plowman Creek and we will be back.

The park was clean and mowed. The gate attendants we keeping a close eye on everything, and very nice. I hope this parks stays open all year long.

Our first time at the park. We were impressed that there was a gate attendant (we camped at Corp of Engineer parks in Oklahoma and Arkansas earlier in the year - no attendant). Liked the security of this, hope they dont do away with the gate attendant.
