I would like to give high praise to Jim Bush. He checked sites several times a day and help maintain cleanliness in the restrooms. He was very nice and pleasant. He is a keeper.

I arrived later than anticipated, 10:30 pm. I was tired and ready to set up and go to sleep. I punched in the digit key code and nothing happened. I tried several more times, double checking my reservation information. I tried calling the phone number posted and let it ring, and ring, and ring. No answer. I gave up and decided to turn around and get a hotel. Half way back down the road I decided to try one more time. Still no luck. I saw a travel trailer and a golf cart with its lights on so I decided to knock and ask for help. The guy replied, "Well, did you hit # before the code?" Where in the reservation did it read hit # 1st??? I went back and tried. Still no luck. 3 more tries and I was in! I got to my campsite and like Goldie Locks...there was a trailer in my spot. Deep sigh. There I go again knocking on someone's trailer door late at night. She explained the issue of her trailer not fitting in the spot she reserved b/c of a tree limb. I told her no worries, I just didn't want to be taking someone elses spot b/c mine was taken. Finally I got my site set up and got to sleep! The next morning I saw the campground was soooo beautiful and clean! Very pleasant enviroment with so many freindly deer.

The grass needed to be mowed and there were weeds that were at least 2 feet tall.

We normally stop here on our way out of town and on the way back home. It’s a great park and reminds us of home with the deer roaming. Family friendly resort. The price is right too!

shutting down the best side of the park for the winter is frustrating as well as the laundry facility is still not repaired and available to patrons.

We never saw a camp host anywhere. Although it is not their fault, the bathrooms were horrific. Always stuffed with toilet paper and in the woman's shower, there was a huge pile of diarrhea on the wall and the floor, which didn't get cleaned up for over 2 days, which after cleanup, there was a diarrhea stain on the floor. There was no soap, and no type of towels in the woman's room, not even an air dryer. the last site we went to had these things.
The campsites are close together and it was loud. The firepits and grills were left dirty upon our arrival. At the last campground we were in, the firepits and grills were cleaned in between visitors and we saw the camp host(s) several times a day. I don't think we will come back here.

We were here for the snow/ice storm. Ranger Johnson did an excellent job of getting us prepared, knowing the water was going to be turned off. The Park Hosts and Gate attendants are excellent at this park and were also very helpful during this storm.

Sites are well spaced apart; I like the shelter over the picnic table. Serene campground with deer & turkey roaming about.
