Cedar Ridge Park is too far from our home to camp there more than once a year, but we love our annual stay at the park every Thanksgiving. The facilities are well-kept, and if you enjoy watching deer, and beautiful scenery, with rock bluffs, etc., Cedar Ridge is the place to be! We seriously lament the removal of the gatekeepers, and sometimes it's worrisome that we have no way to communicate with the Corps if something very important goes wrong (the entrance gate to Loop 4 "froze" in the halfway position for half a day and all night, and no RVs could enter the camping loop), but this is a problem at ALL Corps parks now. Anyone can enter the park, and the Corps has no idea who is in there or what "no good" that they are up to. Someone in the USACE didn't think this policy out very well, or they just don't care about the welfare of their guests and the parks.

We stayed for a week. My husband grew up in this lake. We live in Burleson and have grown very tired of our local lake. Too much vulgarity and littering. We are coming back in 3 weeks. Hidden Gem that we hope not too many know about

Was fantastic host at the campground. I was happy with the cleanliness of the grounds and the restroom.I must say I loved finding the deer and watching them around me. I would 100 % recommend the campground.

First, as always, the park officials at the gate were very friendly and helpful. Our campsite and the other sites were nicely kept and clean and the site’s picnic table structure was in great shape. The boat launch ramp was in excellent shape and uncrowded. The problem we had, and I’m sure many other campers as well, there was a loud drunken party that went on til after 3 am. Park rules state no loud noise after 10:00 pm. We were in space 48. Pretty disappointed in the lack of noise enforcement.
