Hosts were great, site was cut before we got there. And the path to the lake was cleaned up too. We had a great time. Only problem was the bugs in the bathroom.

The window coverings need to be replaced. They can't be rolled up due to the straps missing or torn. Can't be latched closed so they have to be nailed down.

Screen shelter Scr-05 and site were clean. Overall a good experience. However there are a lot of maintenance issues. Door would not shut completely and was held closed by a string. The door latch was bent and very difficult to put a lock on. There was a hole in the front screen near the door. Missing trim boards on a quarter of the windows (Nails still sticking out of the window frames) .The vinyl window covers were sticky (Probably from campers using duct tape to hold them from blowing). Many of the latches for window covers were missing or bent. Ridgeline window coverings were duct taped to the cieling. Several of the straps which hold the coverings up were broken or missing. If you plan on camping in this shelter on a stormy weekend, you and your things will likely get wet. The Leona Park Bathroom and boat ramp lights are burnt out. Making it very difficult to see the ramp while backing down at night and early morning. Rather than repair the extra damage and HAZARDS made by Duct Tape, Nails and Staples used by campers to temporarily fix these defects. I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to keep them maintained?

We stayed at the shelters, which as a location was pretty nice, but the shelter was filthy when we checked in. Cheetos everywhere inside, wrappers and trash throughout. The window coverings were in horrible shape and could not be secured. There was no closing lock from the inside door. I was quite surprised that it was so run down. The area we were in was nice with a short walk to the water. That was really nice.

The shelters haven't had anything done to them in all years we have been going. The window coverings need to be replaced as well as door closure. Make sure you bring your own nails or screws to keep it closed up & drill to be able to reopen. This time there was no running water in the bathrooms. I would rather pay more and have them keep up the maintenance.
