The curtains inside the cabins need to be replaced. Some light bulbs out, not too many though. The men's restroom has a leaky toilet. 2nd men's toilet locked and barred closed. Other than those minor things, it was a very nice place and well taken care of. Just need a maintenance person to go through and fix the minor stuff.

The shelter was initially great. Until it rained. Then shelter #3 flooded, had several inches of water, then several inches of mud, rendering it inhabitable. Apparently this has been an issue with this particular shelter. The toilets in the nearby bathroom tended to clog and only one of 2 toilets in both men's and women's were in working order. Apparently this is an ongoing issue with this particular bathroom. All the other toilets in the other bathrooms in other areas were fine. Otherwise, the area was beautiful, and it was convenient to have hiking trails so close by. If it hadn't rained we wouldn't have known about the flooding and would've thought the shelter was wonderful. It was an awesome place to see the eclipse! The camp host was accessible, helpful, and friendly.

The staff at the property were wonderful to talk to as they kept up with maintenance on the properties or feeding the deer. The cabin was nice with the water, electrical and fan, especially with that nice breeze off the lake despite low water. Always nice to hang out with the deer family roaming around early hours.

Clean, pretty, well-kept. As a first-timer it didnt bother me that the lake was super low but people who had been there before were sad about it. There still was enough water to float the one or two fishing boats that came by in the four days we were there. Very peaceful.

This is the first time we stayed here, we usually stay at Texas state parks.. this was absolutely beautiful..lots of deer ..wildlife.. the lake level was low .. but we still had a great time on our kayaks.. we stayed at the screen shelters.. the screen shelters have window panels that you can roll down.. my 4 star is because of the restroom/shower area could be updated by adding fans and locks to the stall doors... the staff was very friendly... peaceful place..we will be back

The showers and restrooms were very clean. I was camping and fishing with my boat/trailer and there was really no parking for my boat. I had to back out onto the grass with the boat. Overall it was good experience.

Shelter 3 has the best shade, room for hammocks, and access to the water,
