We love coming to Union Grove, and consider it part of our own back yard. We only live about 15 miles away, but have a wedding chapel that keeps us very busy on the weekends. On the weekends we don't have weddings, it's wonderful to bring the RV and the boat to the lake and enjoy time away. There's literally nothing we can do during the weekend but relax. Jimmy was extra helpful this last trip, since our 30 amp breaker was weak and wouldn't stay connected. He changed it in like 4 minutes and did it with a smile. We appreciate his help in making our stay more comfortable!

We stayed on site #3. We had a great view of the lake. Think we will try out other sites next time. This site was overgrown with weeds, no tree/shade, and the fire pit was on a hill which was dangerous. Overall we had a great time and would return to the campground.

Always a treat to stay at Union Grove. Quiet, pretty and the sites are mostly nice and level! We're already booked for our next stay this weekend. Only 15 miles from our home, it's the perfect getaway without disrupting all planned activities. Hopefully, it'll be warm enough for the boat while we stay there!

This is one of our favorite places to stay. Had a wonderful time as always and staff (Valerie) was extremely helpful and friendly. We've got two more trips booked for the park already! Thank you!

The grounds maintenance is maintained to an impeccable standard by which I rarely see. This camp ground exudes the pride taken in maintaining the grounds and going the extra distance. I will be staying here again.

Another excellent stay just a few miles from our home! We always enjoy coming here and it's fun. It's sad to see the lake going away, but we were in a good spot (#3) and it was easy to park and set up. We're very thankful for such a nice park that's so close to our home.

The park is nice. Some of the amenities could stand some upgrades as they are getting a little tired. Grills and picnic tables are really tired. The steps from where the camper is sitting down to the picnic area needs quite a bit of work. The picnic area needs weeding. The camper parking area could be leveled so that you dont need so many leveling blocks. Overall the park is nice but it could be so much more.

Nice facility, beautiful lake view, campsites well separated from each other. Heated bathroom/shower was a pleasant surprise! Proximity to Salado is very nice.

The hot water could be turned up a little hotter in the winter time especially when the bathhouse doesn't have heat.

Grass needed to be mowed, fire ants everywhere. Favoritism is on rampant display as we are only allowed 14 days but another camper bragged about being there over a month because of "friends."

This is our absolute favorite place for a weekend getaway. We live very close by, but the ability to come such a short distance and completely escape responsibilities at home is awesome. The lake views are tremendous, and there's always someone we know camping in the park at the same time.

The grass was very tall although the other sites below us had been mowed. There was also a drowning which no one spoke of till we met the family. I feel that this is something that should be mentioned.

Love this location because it "seems" out of the way but it is really perfect. Nice spots well spaced out, easy access to dump station, and for those with boats - the ramp is right next door. Not too many spots so it doesn't feel crowded!

Multiple times during our stay, people who are not camping come in on the boat ramp side and walk into our camping area. They leave a mess

Well maintained and spacious park. Roads were easy to navigate with our trailer and the open space helped when backing in. Quiet and picturesque, we'll definitely return

The sites were spacious and well maintained. If there is a downside to this campground it would be the lack of shade. We were there in the winter so it was not a factor for us but Im sure in the dog days of summer it would be something to take into consideration. The park host was very friendly and helpful. It was a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
