Unfortunately, I scheduled this when the lake was 12-14 ft low. Thanks to recent rains, that we have desperately needed for the last 8 years, the level is now 12-14 ft above normal level. We couldn't even get close to water to throw a fish line in. Finally canceled and went on.

Great location and park. Really enjoyed our time here. Verizon service was great. Only thing really missing was a laundry facility and sewer, but wont stop me from staying here again.

Very nice campground. Friendly host. People with large dogs need to learn to clean up after them.

Large, easy to back in site (#1) that I selected for its open sky for Dish satellite reception. Excellent choice. Pretty campground throughout with lots of shaded sites if that is your desire. Miller Springs Park is directly across from the campground entrance which has a great trail system that this runner certainly enjoyed. Easy to access dump station.

When we spoke to the young lady to book the reservation we told her we would be checking in late. When we arrived the gate was locked with combo pad lock that we weren't given to code too. Had to walk around a very dark campground trying to wake someone up for the code

We gave it 4 stars because everything is close by. But the campground itself is kind of noisy with the highway traffic and occasionally the evening blast from SpaceX from the north. Not sure why they have 3 host sites, I didn't see them do anything. The gate is never manned, the bathhouse was not serviced the week we were there and grass was mowed by an outside company...but those 3 sites looked like a nice little villa.

I was offended by the religious emblems and desecrated versions of the US flag that is the first thing a guest sees when entering. The campground hosts have turned this public park into their version of a denominational summer camp. Public parks should be welcoming to all people, the host’s decorations should reflect this.

Great park hosts. We love watching the deer and turkeys. This is a very clean park.
We stopped here on the way home to see the Belton Christmas Festival. Great smaller town experience. Park was closed except campers. Restrooms were very clean and updated. Never saw any Hosts- gate code got us in. Try the Dead Fish Grill down the road - very tasty but was quite busy the night we got take-out. We will return as we are in this vicinity regularly.
Campsites were well maintained. Water and electricity both worked well.

Mobile Data Speed Map

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
