Good location on Belton Lake near city conveniences. Our site #30 was not ideal for shade and it was hot during the day. Would pick a different site with better shade. Overall, good experience.

We stay here often and absolutely love it. It is one of our favorite parks. It is always clean and well taken care of. It has wonderful trees and shade is an important thing here in Texas in the summer!

One of the two rest room had been closed since March -made it difficult because you had to walk to the other side of the camp area to use the restroom. Site had very large amounts of cut down trees and grass was very high but the three Camp host sites up front were neat and tidy had water sprinklers going. Water Spicket was bent or broken all most touched the ground and you couldnt get anything underneath it hardly to get water. Even though I arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon to check in there was nobody at the gate and as I drove to my site after I open the gate the guy on a scooter flagged us down to check us in. Grills at that site that we stayed in # 30 and the next site to us had bigger holes in the bottom that had charcoal falling out when cooking

Very nice park BUT if you have a big rig you will leave with scratches. Trees in this park are not maintained well.

This was a fantastic location next to Lake Belton and it helped that the weather cooperated. Like other Army Corps of Engineers parks in this district, things are getting pretty worn out.We had dead limbs/trees overhanging our site.The grill was burned through and had a rusted grate, so was almost unusable. (If you're planning site #30, bring your own grill!)The water faucet leaked below ground.Warning, this is a reservation-only park. You need the gate code before you get here. There is a gatehouse, but no attendant on duty. Weird.

Excellent park. But I dont understand how there can be 4 campground hosts that are entrenched in what look like permanent digs, yet the bathrooms are cleaned on Saturdays only? Its a mystery.

Beautiful campgrounds. Fills up on the weekend but only about half full during the week. Lots of different types of birds including blue birds, hummingbirds, herons, owls at night, and woodpeckers. Really enjoyed the peace, boating, hiking, and fishing. There is a nice little hiking park as well. The families that were there looked like they were really enjoying the summer.
