We had a nice mostly level site with a wonder view. The Verizon cell service in intermittent. It is a nice little campground. The host was very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay of 3 nights the prior week so much that we booked the following week for 4 days. The sites and restrooms were clean, and we cannot say enough good about the camp attendant Brad. He was very helpful, professional and courteous when we decided to extend our stay an extra night. We certainly plan on staying at Bumpus Mills Campground again next season.
Thank you again to Brad

Great fishing, swimming area, marina and multiple boat ramps.

This is a small COE campground on the eastern shore of Lake Barkley/Cumberland River, opposite Land Between the Lakes. Our site, #26, was spacious, level, and right on the water. There was plenty of room for our 25' motorhome, motorcycle, and motorcycle trailer on the gravel pad. It had the standard amenities - wood picnic table, fire pit, water and 30 Amp electricity, as well as an additional wood table about half the size of the picnic table. This was a great site for May's cooler weather, but because of the lack of shade I would not recommend it for hotter weather in July and August. The restrooms were old but clean and well stocked. AT&T cell phone service was acceptable at our site - 1 or 2 bars - and we had enough of a signal to stream movies at night without any interruptions by using my phone as a hotspot for our smart TV. The south and Golden Pond entrance of LBL are a short drive away and the roads in the area are great for cruising on a motorcycle, which is how we spent our days. One of the highlights of our trip was lunch at Patti's restaurant at the northern end of LBL. Their signature 2" grilled pork chop and their homemade pies are worth the drive.
