Bumpus Mills is a nice park, however, the roads getting into the park are VERY narrow, hilly, and curvy for larger rigs. We liked the park but will probably not be going to it again because of the drive to access it in our rig.

I loved the small size of the campground. Loved the remoteness. Campground traffic was minimal - being campers only. The direct access and closeness to the lake was great. Sites were a little too close together. Cell phone service was almost nonexistent. I could get Email but couldn't make a call out. I utilize Tracfone. The entrance to the dump station area needs to be scraped to get rid of potholes. Shoreline areas need to be cleaned up. Was hardly any grass - wish there had been more at the campsites. Campground host was helpful and friendly. Stayed in site 25 - the only pull thru. It was a good site with plenty of room. I'll be back. Sure wish there had been sewer hookups since the dump station was quite a ways away and uphill to boot.

Exceptionally well run camp. The Host is professional and always ready to assist. The campground is well maintained. Highly recommend the campground to all.

We always have a GREAT time at Bumpus Mills Campground. I was so excited when got to site 25 and found out that the Corp of Eng had cut down the tree on the left hand side as you enter the campsite. It always made it so very hard to pull into the site.
The things that you still need to fix are: 1. as you make the turn back up to sites 28, 29 and 31 people still have the same kind of trouble with a tree on the left side as there was at site 25. (as I said last year campers are a lot larger now as than when Bumpus Mills was first built many years ago); 2. After you make the turn back up to these 3 sites there was a problem with a BAD dip across the road as you pass site 29. 3. Friends of mine had to have someone help pull them out of the dip last year and then this same couple helped to try to fix the dip so that they could get out with not only their F-150 truck but their camper also. 4. Thank you for working on the little road to the dump station....BUT IT STILL NEEDS MORE WORK DONE TO IT.
THANK YOU FOR THE WORK YOU ALL DID SINCE LAST CAMPING SEASON AND I LOOK FORWARD TO OTHER WORK BEING DONE AT BUMPUS MILLS CAMPGROUND.
Thank You for taking the time to read my review.

Very quiet quaint small campground. Some sites difficult to enter, so must know before you go. Campground long distance from main Hwy. Water was so low, swimming area good for wading only.
