The location is always beautiful and the rock we hang out every day for hours. The river was awesome this year.

This site is next to Hwy 49, noise from cars and a lot of mountain bikers stating up late making noise. The other campgrounds are much better and not on the main road.

Brutal, lot's of noise from mountain bikers partying all night!

There was no water in the campsite at all. The water spigot that used to be there looks to be out of order indefinitely.Plenty of water down the road at Loganville.

The sites at the far end of the campground, I think 9 and 11, share the space with a separate group of people that are part of a gold mining group or something. They are not part of the reservations system and have their own claim to that area.It makes that part of the campground pretty crowded with these extra cars, trucks, trailers, campers, people and dogs.

Sites were too close together, and sites were small. We selected site 10 online. When we arrived it was in a dead-end culdasac formation all the other sites were occupied with multiple cars/trucks. We did not what to feel that close or crowded so we decided not to stay.

Pros- Beautiful area, spaced reasonably apart, up against Yuba river , nice tree coverage, clean bathrooms. Cons- Very close to the highway with occasional race cars and pocket rockets. Water for campers was shut off. Non- poisonous snakes in the river. Though my wife got a cool video of one eating a trout.

Loved being right next to the river. Site 6 was a little small for 2 tents but we made it work. Mosquitos were very bad for June and no running water made the trip not fun but overall loved it!

its nice but don't trust the first come first serve rule. there is no camp host so bring your own toilet paper and the reserve signs are lacking. with no cell phone reception or no number to call its hard to contact anyone with any problems.

I was extremely disappointed that my reserved site was not reserved. The river/creek was not as close as the photos made it appear.

The toilets were very well cleaned on a regular basis, a lot better than previous years. The cleaners do a great job. Water supply not working, would have been good to know this before we got there.

No potable water available on site. Recreation.gov site lists drinking water as available, but none on site on arrival

A total let down! Got stuck at this campsite because the nice campground Loganville up the street was full. This site is located 25 feet from Highway 49 so plenty of traffic noise. It's small and only one dirt road (no loop) so everyone that drives in looking for a spot turns around and drives by again dusting out every set-up campsite, Total dust fest! Plenty of partying going on in many of the sites if that's what your into. We actually had someone in the middle of the night mistake our tent for there's and began to enter our tent until I yelled. I'd stayed here again if they gave me a $1000 dollars.

Very few places to find a level spot for a tent. Very few spots for a tent that aren't completely rocky. This campground is located on a site where tons of rocks from the river bed have been displaced (on to the current campground area) for industrial gold mining purposes. It's also just a few yards away from the highway traffic.

Clean campgrounds, the bathrooms were well stocked with TP and kept clean. The sound of the rushing water in the river was very lulling. In a great location to explore Downieville, Sierra City and the Lakes Basin.

Lots of loud bikers partying all night. It's great if you like campers next to you playing music till 3am.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
