Site was flat, plenty of shade. Stayed in a 20' trailer. Plenty of room for tents. The freeway sounded like wind blowing through the trees, you could still hear each other and listen to the birds. But it was a constant noise. The swim hole is very nice and deep.

Great place, good hiking spots, creek close by. Campgrounds and bathrooms clean.

This camping experience at Indian Springs was quite poor. There was no one on staff to update the reservations on each campsite, so unfortunately the campsite Recreation.gov let me reserve days prior was taken by someone. I had chosen campsite 21 because it looked to be the furthers from the highway, in fact as we explored the campground, we found that the noise pollution from the highway permeated the entire place. Semis and cars can be heard at all hours of the day and night. We settled on a campsite near the water, which provided a direct line of sight to the highway. Furthermore, there are no doable hiking trails within walking distance to the campsite. We chose to hike one of the local OHV trails, but turned around about a mile after our descent. The road was VERY rocky and impossible to enjoyably, hike the trail. Lastly, because you're so close to the highway, there is cell reception. Do not go here, if you want to "disconnect" with technology and connect with Mother Nature. This spot is likely good for people with RVs, but not suited for tent camping.

The campground gets two stars because there is a small lake with a cool waterfall.

The campground is beautifully set in the forest and next to the fork of the Yuba River....If you have a trailer or RV there are so few sites suitable, and the pads are mostly uneven. Highway noise is always mentioned, but after a while I do not hear it. The campground is obviously not well taken care of, and during my last two visits I never saw a host or supervisor even making rounds. It is mostly suitable for tents. and I guess my last comment would be to not camp downwind from the pit toilets....
