We stayed at the Rancher site that fits up to 25 people, however only 8 of us there this time. July 2021.
This is a great campground, very spacious, 6 very large picnics tables, 4 BBQ grills, huge fire pit, very close to the bathrooms that you share with the next site over. These are vaulted toilets but very, very clean, serviced daily. The host, who stays in the campground, has firewood for $10 a bundle. There are many trees surrounding the site but the table areas are all pure sun so bring shade if you're going in the summer months. Also prepare your tent and gear for possible random thunder storms in the afternoon, totally caught us by surprise. The lake was amazing, so calm and empty. My only complaint, and this is not the fault of the campgrounds, the water is extremely low and it is quite a long walk from our campsite. We ended up driving down to a beached area each day. We took our jet skis out, there is a boat launch down the road. The water was perfect for them. Overall we loved it here, it was our first time and we'll go back, hopefully when the water is higher.
