Nice campground and great hosts. The creek is nice for wading but not big enough for swimming. The vibe was quiet even on a holiday weekend.

Campsite 004 is right next to the bathroom. On the last day of our trip the bathroom smell was quite bad but on previous days it was fine. The only flat space was the paved parking spot where you can fit a tent behind a regular car. The rest of the campsite is on a steep slope. There’s a bit of shade and the spot backs to a nice meadow you can hike across to find the creek.

Unfortunately there was so much smoke from a near by fire. We drove 12 hours to get there. We couldn't stay there due to how bad the smoke was. I'm sure hoping next year we can actually stay there as I've heard good things about it.

Several problems. 1. lots and lots of mosquitos we were getting bit regardless of the 15% DEET spray. #2, Our campsite (#4), was next to the vault toilets, and boy we could smell them, throughout the day, our camp would be inundated with raw sewage smell... STAY FAR AWAY from any toilets. The toilets themselves are fairly old and the vent pipes are not very high, so I think this contributes to the smell. #3The pad length seems overestimated and the paved area is really narrow, so no parking next to your rig, and the length listed would be your rig plus the truck detached and set up which is a bit bigger. We did not have a problem, but my brother would have. #4. Some sites are relatively flat others like ours were mountainous, and sloped, there was a good 10-15' elevation difference over the course of our campsite, the area around the fire ring was pitched at about 15 deg, so no matter where you sat, your chair was at an angle, like camping on a hill. #5 The previous campers left the entire three-foot fire ring filled with bark... also not ideal and had to be removed before we could do anything to start a fire. It was not a deal and something I would have thought the camp host would have corrected. #6 out neighbors... well the some of the sites are closer than others. our neighbors decided to pitch their tent about 2 feet off of our trailer. there were also really loud and stayed up having a good time till well past 1 AM, sometimes even chopping wood... earplugs were required, but since I was aware of when they finally went to sleep, you can guess how effective they were. Our beautiful neighbors also were able to somehow also get up at 530... never saw the camp host outside of him driving his golf cart past during the day, never came to do anything about the noise. Other than the Mosquitos, raw sewage, sloped/difficult sight, noisy neighbors, the narrow pad length, and absent-feeling camp host, it wasn't too bad... unlikely to stay again though.
