This is a wonderful campground! The lake, the campsites, its remote location are all great attributes. I've been their twice this year and intend to return next year.

We enjoyed our time at Crescent Lake. Close enough to the activities along the north shore but far enough to get away from the crowds. A decent amount of space and privacy between campsites. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Boat landing was better then anticipated and the fishing was good. Mosquitoes where around but not nearly has bad as we were anticipating, but were easily kept at bay by using a couple Thermacell's. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would return someday.

If you go, be fully prepared for bears. There was a bear ripping open tents the day we got there. Other than that, it was a good campsite. I wish that the layout of the campground was a little more clear in the booking process. We didnt really know what to expect and then got there and the site was pretty small and basically in a mosquito bog. It was very buggy but thats just to be expected in Minnesota. The fire pit was in ground not above and the grill was not super functional. I wouldnt describe it as a family friendly campsite.

We were in site #21 and we had a truck and 25 foot trailer. We had plenty of space and the sites all seemed to be very private. Crescent lake is out in the wilderness as much as anyone would ever want to be. We loved it. We heard loons every night. We hoped to hear wolves but we didn't unfortunately. There were clean pit toilets for those who would need that but we used our trailer toilet. There was also a water spigot. We would definitely go again. Camp host Jack was nice too.
