Only issue is there is nobody to talk to about like where to buy firewood or anything else that you might need

The campground is well maintained, vault toilets are excellent. Suggestion: when campsites are NOT reserved for the night/nights, allow the host to register a camper as first come-first serve; with the host notifying you via phone. There is very, very, very [read it as NONE] phone, internet and wi-fi service in our national parks and forests for the camper to register on-line. Keep the parks and forests without phone, wifi and internet. We need a place of rest from the noise of our world. thank you

Beautiful spot and well worth a walk/scramble down to the water for sunrise or sunset ... just make sure you get a site with a view of the water if you can. Otherwise this is just like any other midwestern campground.
