Wonderful setting. We were able to swim in the lake off of our campsite. Near by museum and hikes were nice. Canoe rental provided access to the bwca.

NIcely situated and clean site. Close facilities and easy access. Would use again.

This was a really nice campground! Loved how remote it was.

We had great weather and nice quiet neighbors. The view was very nice, but we did not have easy water access from our site. Other sites are better for this, but we were high with a great view. We hiked a bit on the 1.6 mile trail out of one of two boat landings. We launched our canoe from there as well and paddled into the BWCA, found a rocky island and went swimming. The stars at night were stunning.

1st time to Trails End Campground (site #26) - we used it as a 'one-nighter' for our jumping off point for our 4-day Boundary Waters canoe trip. It was a great location with the camping sites far enough away from each other for privacy - and exactly what you'd expect from a nat'l forest service campground - gravel tent site, picnic table, fire ring with water spicket and latrines not to far away from our site - nothing fancy. Campsite was labeled with our reservation along with the following day's user - this made it very clear who was supposed to in the site. We arrived on a very rainy late afternoon in early August - certainly made for a challenging camp set-up...but hey....it's the wilderness! For our one-night stay it was a quiet campground. If you want a great site overlooking Sea Gull Lake, choose Site #s 24 or 25

Great sites! Very remote and peaceful. Site 22 probably has the best view. No cell signal.

Excellent campground, water and restrooms close to each site.

We found Tails End Campground to be very clean and very quiet, with great views of the water and wonderful water access. We had one of the few sites without a view of the water but we didn't mind the campsite view while we were out on the water all day. I look forward to a return visit.
