Our campsite overlooked a river and was absolutely perfect place to relax and get away.

Stayed in site 18. It was amazing being right next to the rapids. The noise was a bit loud and it was hard to talk to those at my campsite because of it but it was still amazing. I highly recommend this campground and this site. 19 is good too and right on the rapids but in my opinion 18 was far superior.

Sites 18 & 19 are great sites on the river. But, campers continually walk through thinking they are on the portage. Bumping their canoes on your tent in the morning, standing in your site asking is this the portage?. Better signage would alleviate that, making these sites more secure when campers are not there, and less invasive when they are.

The place is spectacularly beautiful and the sites nicely separated for privacy.

This campground is beautiful! It has access to two Boundary Waters entry points. The business close by (Way of the Wilderness/Trail's End Cafe) has friendly service, information, great burgers, maps and rental gear!
