Probably one of the best drive-in campsites in America! #2 is a very large private site at the end of its own short drive with a stunning view of the lake. Theres a trail downhill to the beach for your own personal canoe/boat landing and also a short trail uphill to a great tent pad. The hillside location makes it more susceptible to high winds, though, making tent camping and campfires difficult at times.

I don't want to rate my experience here, I'd rather keep this campground a secret.

Great Campground. We have been there several times and have enjoyed it every time.

The water hookup was not operating. We did not receive an email telling us the water was down, so we did not bring any in our camper fresh water tank. I could have brought plenty of water with me and avoided the issue. The Outfitter "Way of the Wilderness" was in shambles. Nothing was maintained well, ran out of T.P. one day, their contract should be revoked and new management brought in. This is a beautiful area don't let it go to waste.

Outstanding location. Camp site 1 and 2 are by far the best spots, with outstanding lake view while nested in pine trees. Each spot has even its private beach. I highly recommend the area.

I’ve been going to this campground for over 50 years. A slice of heaven on earth! Campsite #2 is super for an RV and additional tents. There used to be shade but some of the pines have died and it was sunny most of the time. A little disconcerting that there were 2 dead pines with caution tape wrapped around them saying KILLER TREE! We had some windy days and it was worrisome!
