We have been going to Trails End for 50 years. While we have been to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Switzerland, and many other beautiful locations we find this to be our favorite place on earth. The campground was well maintained although the current concessionaire was not as good as some previous in maintaining the outhouse near us. We stayed in site #4 this year but have used a number of others over the years.

Someone is probably better than I am when it comes to the words that can describe this campground. My experience was quite memorable.

It was a great campground and the views were amazing! We were at site 4 so had water hookup and had no issues with that. The bathrooms were clean and always stocked with plenty of toilet paper. The only downfall we had is that we struggled to find the office as there never seemed to be anyone there. We ended up going to a different outfitter to find firewood and ice and Wi-Fi to be able to make any calls. The Trails End Cafe also wasn’t open so that was a bit of a bummer. We will definitely look at booking again though.

A little too close to next door neighbors (first group nice/2nd- not so much:)), but overall a great site. Trail that leads to the water for easy loading kayaks. Really good time.

We were a little disappointed there wasn't a better view of the lake from this site. It's still delightful amongst the pines. Privacy was good due to the positioning of campers away from each other. We had a camper and two tents and there was plenty of room. There is a trail down to the lake but it's not an easy climb. This site had close (but not too close) proximity to the outhouse. There is not a bad site at the Trails End Campground! We kayaked Saganaga, stopped at rock islands for lunches, fished the inlets. The store just outside theDinner one night at Trail's Center Lodge (always a treat.) Wilderness Way outfitters is at the entrance to the park, and they have a small cafe, shower house, and store. They also offer everything you need to get out in the BWCA and explore.
