Nice little campground by the lake. Only 7 spots and a few are a bit tricky to get a camper into. Recommend small to medium campers. Enough trees to separate you, but site 3 was close enough to 4 to hear a conversation. Site 1 is a first come, but also the furthest from the lake.

We were in spot 3, which is a lovely spot that has a partial view of the lake. Unfortunately, he group camping next to us had their generator running 24 hours a day for 3 days straight. The campground should have a posting that there are quiet time rules so other campers don't have their trip ruined by rude guests.\Also, the public outhouse ran out of TP.

Iron Lake campground is a beautiful campground and the resources available are excellent.

Biting flies were swarming and ruined the whole trip

Resupply of outhouse supplies would be appreciated.
Site was not well cleaned by a prior occupant.
Daytime use of a gas generator two sites down during the daytime hours was an unwelcome disturbance.
Great view of the lake. Watched a bull moose on the opposite shore for several minutes.

Very nice campsite. Tent spot is sheltered. Views of the lake. Some great loon activity in front of our site.

Campsite was good. Level, plenty of space, privacy from other campers and the campsite road. The only drawback is there was no easy access to the lake directly from the campsite and definitely no way to launch a canoe from the campsite which I was hoping for based on pictures I saw and my experience at similar campgrounds. Also, the weather was windy and rainy but I can't blame the campsite for that. Still had an enjoyable trip but would probably check out other campsites at Iron Lake to see if any of them have direct access to the lake.
