Really nice site.
Tons of road construction directly behind our site at 4:00am. Extremely noisy

I loved the campground, it was clean and private but it was not safe. A man decided to station at the camp next to ours and terrorized us at night and attacked our vehicle for thinking we laughed at him when we simply were just enjoying our night. No rangers around even at the station, had to drive 5-10 minutes away from campsite to get signal.

Quiet and peaceful campground. Sites were nicely spaced apart allowing for privacy. Clean and well kept pit toilets. We did not have reservations in Yosemite Valley and the drive was not too long to get there. The close proximity to Groveland and the local grocery store was invaluable for re-supply.

We loved it here! Stayed 6 nights. Spots and bathrooms are clean and a very large bear box. Spots were large and had privacy. Short drive to Yos and gas/grocery. The hosts were a hoot, friendly informative and helpful. I was hoping to hear the cows many of the reviews talked about but didnt see/hear any. There is some construction going on but we were gone by 9am each morning and didnt hear any noise. Saw some wildlife mostly dear, fox, lots of cool birds, and bats. Im not a big spider person and our site had a ton of wolf spiders but they stay still in the edge circling the campsite. You can see their eyes sparking at night which was actually pretty cool if you shine your lights in them. I recommend cooking before 8am for breakfast because the bees were relentless after that. We cant wait to come back someday! Driving in/out there are some potholes in the dirt road but if you take it easy Id say most cars could get in/out just fine. No locks on the bear box to keep people out but we didnt have any problems.

My husband and I used this wonderful little campground as our jumping off point to visit Yosemite. Our site was well maintained, quiet and clean. I especially liked the hand pump for water. Delicious! The toilets were clean and well stocked. The visiting cows and their cowbells were a plus. A great time was had by all. I highly recommend #3. Shade and privacy.

Came in in the dark and our site was easy to find and had no one in it. Left at first light. Served our needs perfectly.
