Very clean, pretty, and small campground. Not a ton of people. Spots are somewhat smaller with not the best privacy but overall a cool little area not far from Wind Cave and the black hills.

Beautiful spot and close to Hot Springs. Good place to enjoy nature but still accessible for sightseeing.

Prior to check in I drove into the campground to see what it was like and what site I had. I did not even make it around the little loop (wide open view) and the campground host jumped in her SUV and quickly pulled up beside me and started drilling me as to why I was there and if I had a site. She was not welcoming and came across like I was on her private property and shouldn't be. It was very uncomfortable. When I stated my purpose of the visit, she was negative and said I would have no shade. In the end after pulling up my reservation, I did in fact have a site with shade. She then went on to tell me that the 100 degree temps were going to be hot because if I planned to run a generator I would have to shut it off at 10pm. I wasn't planning to use one and do not even have one but she certainly wanted to give me rules and show her authoritative behavior. I decided not to fill my reservation and stayed an extra night at Angastora instead of dealing with her rudeness. I was on vacation to get away from people like that!

Very well maintained. Pit bathroom is very clean and smells of nothing. Fishing in the lake and creek is awesome. We also saw some interesting woodpeckers and turtles around. Caught a few blue gills in the creek.
