Campsite was clean / staff were helpful. We stayed on n site 56 and it was not very private / we could hear conversations from campers on both sides of us. Nice place but we prefer to have more trees and woods between sites.

Fiendly, neat, clean, everything was as described and expected. Planning on returning in the future. Very good family campground.

Springfield is a very clean, family friendly campground. Camp hosts are extremely nice and helpful always. Bathhouses are always clean. Only disappointment, weekends stay booked from residents that live with a few miles. This makes booking extremely difficult for those that want to camp for over 4 nights.

Springfield COE campground used to be one of our favorites, we have camped there for more than 35 years. The problem we found this time was that about 1/2 of all the beautiful trees have been cut down! I asked the camp host what happened and he said that a couple of pine trees had fallen on a camper (a year ago or so?) so the COE had a contractor come in over winter to remove some trees which might fall. But the contractor went a little crazy and took out hundreds of trees! Well, if you like a shady spot, you better look closely before you go because there aren't a lot of them. Other than that it was good.

This was the first time we have visited Springfield; The campground was awesome. We stayed on site 56 which was a muddy mess and we couldnt get the trailer level with the materials we brought. The slope between the road and the impact pad is eroding and flowing onto the impact pad. A retaining wall should be installed to hold back the erosion.

Great campground. Hosts are awesome. Unfortunately they continue to cut down trees here which is making the camp less attractive every year. I wish they would add more sites on the hill. The land would easily support twice the number they currently have.

Only issue was speeders and larger family gatherings but the park is clean, quiet and comfortable.

I love the big camp sites. I wish there were more bath houses. I have to bring a bike to Springfield.
