We stayed in site 52, back-in, with water & 30/50 amp hook ups. Loved this site on the lake, stairs at the site to water access. Nice fire square, grill, hook, and a picnic table. Bring ant spray, they are plentiful at this campground. Lots of foliage between this site, to make it private. #52 is directly across the street from a small playground. Mostly level sand and gravel site. Very quiet and dark at night. Dump station is easy to get to when leaving. Many restaurants and stores nearby. The Local, a restaurant literally around the corner, nice for dinner and cocktails.

Our campsite and the bathhouse were clean. The new grass looks nice. Easy place to walk. Plenty of shade.

Easy access, close to shopping. Quiet and peaceful campground. Our view was spectacular. Loved the privacy the greenery provided at each end of our site. Pleasant, helpful gate attendants. We'll be back!

As usual at the Corp of Engineers campgrounds on Lake Hartwell, all the attendants were very friendly, cordial and helpful. Grounds were well taken care of. However, something needs to be done to control people who are driving way over the 15 mph speed limit. I would estimate at least 30-35 mph. Our campsite was across the street from a playground. This needs immediate attention before someone walking or some children get hit. At the speeds some people are going, it would certainly be fatal.

Our visit is always very pleasant there. We love Springfield. I gave it a 4 because there is no soap or paper towels in the restrooms nor hand sanitizer. As a nurse that is extremely bothersome because people need to be washing their hands!!
