Weve stayed at Springfield Campground many times over the years, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots. The campground is clean, peaceful, and beautifully situated on the lake. Most sites are waterfront, and while not all have direct water access, the views are always fantastic.Site #41 is a spacious double site that weve returned to oftenits perfect for spreading out and enjoying the lake. Site #35, where we stayed over the 4th of July, might be our new favorite. Its right on the point with a gorgeous view and just enough shade from one big tree that doesnt block the scenery. We even caught fireworks in every direction from our site!The campground is conveniently located just a few backroads from Anderson, making it easy to get to and close to where were building our home. Weve had great luck with minimal bugs, and the lake is perfect for floating and relaxing during summer and fall visits.Pro Tips:Bring floats for the lakePack some shade for sunny afternoonsDont forget the good foodthis is a great place to cook and unwindWere already looking forward to trying Site #37 next time. Highly recommend Springfield for anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside camping experience!

Not much shade or places to walk. Lakeview is excellent though.
