Only thing that would make this site better is if you could pull one camper in, so the awnings face each other. Other than that, its a wonderful site

Our family had a nice time. Some seclusion. This campsite had little shade in the day. Good bit of mud near the lake. Unfortunately, our last night (Friday) the camper across the lake from us had his flashlight pointing right at our site. (In my face at our door.) I've seen this complaint already, so this might be a reoccurring problem. I would recommend Springfield Campgrounds to anyone and we will return!

Our site was perfect for us. It was a double site, was fairly level, and had easy access to the water. Unfortunately, the neighbors across the cove shined a spot light into our camp from sundown one night until long after we gave up and went to bed. My husband asked the hosts in the gate house to say something to them... ask them to perhaps shine it in the water (since its job presumably was to attract fish). The host lady said it wasnt her job to ask them to change the light, but shed walk down and speak with them. I have no idea if she did... it seemed the light got brighter and more aimed at our faces. Our check out was the following day. We were to check out by 2. At 130 the same host came to our site and asked why we werent out yet. When I turned in the parking pass at 2:08 she said that shed contemplated charging us for another day... she said a saccharine sweet that she figured wed have been happy to stay other night. I told her I couldnt imagine spending another night with that spotlight in our camp. She talked about how it was a 14 year old you know how they are. I mean my 13 year old wasnt shining spotlights in campsites. Anyway... the actual site was lovely. The kids across the cove and his light? Not so much. The host lady being unwilling to fix the spot light... then rushing us to check out when no one was coming behind us... after such a crappy night? That made me want to never step foot on the property again. So theres that.

So there’s that.
