I had a really good time, I was about a 10 minute walk from both the beach and the dunes. But when I was leaving I went the wrong way and drove into some water. Where I had originally come from had only a couple inches of water and where I went had quite a few feet. It was a fully functioning trail with no signage reporting high water or anything. I had to get towed and my car is now ruined. People should not be able to go over there. Going on the wrong road should not ruin your car. I had a really good time the nights I stayed, exploring the surrounding areas. Making a fire, enjoying the peace, outdoors, and being away from everyone made it a great time. There was quite a bit of atv noise as people drove by but it wasnt too bad. But the negligence of the surrounding areas and the thousands of dollars it cost me very much stained my memories. So if you go youll have a great time but if you see water I suggest you find another path or at the very least are incredibly cautious about the depth of it. I hope this problem will be fixed so people will only have positive experiences.

Great area. Very clean nice to see people pick up when they leve. Was a great way to spend the weekend with the jeep.

Awesome place, if camping with 5th wheel or trailer on the sand don’t try cheating make sure you reduce the tire pressure down to 10 lbs. everyone was respectful and really nice. We had a blast.😀😀

Made reservations over the phone for 3 people and one vehicle. Arrived as it was getting dark to learn that you cannot access without special 4WD sand vehicles. The host said that this happens all the time and he has advised them multiple times to make this clear on the web site and to the phone operators. They would not let us camp (not even just sleep in our van) in the parking lot. The area is very nice. We never saw our campsite. We stayed at the driftwood campground 30 minutes away and that was a good experience. We requested a refund but have not heard back yet.
