We like this spot a lot simply because we don’t have to drag everything to far on the sand. The only problem we’ve been having is people now just speeding in by the camp. One particular group kept coming closer and closer almost hitting one of our kids. As far as my understanding you aren’t supposed to speed through sand camps or any camps. Other than that we love this spot.

If you have the proper vehicle and the means, sand camping can be okay. However, be aware that the sand campsites have almost nothing available and are far from the restroom areas or showers. You are almost infinitely better off just getting a campsite in the actual campground area than staying on the sand itself unless you are adamant to do sand camping.

We ended up just getting one of the actual campsites for the night anyway because we did not realize just how little the site actually comprised of, and generally I would recommend the same for most people. It is literally just a patch of sand with a few sparse trees, right next to the dunes and day use area where people will be driving 4x4's at all hours of the day and into the night. Not necessarily bad if that's what you want, but be aware that this is what you're getting.
