The best sand dunes in Oregon! Our family/dogs love to sand camp at Hauser depot.

Some sites are very hard to find, so do yourself a favor and give yourself plenty of daylight to find your spot...trying to do so in the dark is a very frustrating experience especially if you're pulling a small trailer with quads on it like we were. One other piece of advice...AIR DOWN to 15-18 lbs...don't think your big badass 4x4 can handle it...I have a built Toyota Tundra, and still got stuck. One other thing...turn your traction control on your vehicle off, makes a world of difference. It was awesome to camp in the dunes. Be prepared, lots of water, shade shelter....and get sand screws from your tent or whatever...it gets really breezy. We camped in a spot that the dogs could run free, and fast access to the dunes, like right at your camp. Bring a camp toilet and privacy shelter...people will be by your camp all day and night. If you dont like quad and SXS noise, you will hate this type of camping....we had a huge blast.
BEWARE: Sand is super soft, don't even think you can take your Honda Accord or whatever....it won't work and you'll just piss everyone off as they wait behind you as you try and get unstuck.
