This place was great! Really amazing spot for any gathering. So much space and such an amazing setup. I will definitely look forward to coming here again.

Absolutely beautiful location. Covered area is huge, had many tables inside. When we arrived the campers before us left trash all around the garbage area, the vault toilet was really dirty. I drove up to the ranger station about 5 minutes down the road and let them know. They came out right away and took some of the garbage and cleaned the restroom. SUPER nice!! Appreciated that! Campground is right on the road so if you are sensitive to road noise then this isn't going to be fun. Other downside is the gate. That thing is super heavy and can knock you right down. Please be careful! People not in your group do walk right around the gate and come down to try and use the bathroom or look around. Lots of cars pull in so we kept gate closed constantly. I probably wouldn't go back due to the road noise, but I'm very glad I experienced the campground. We had a great time.

Great spot. Open year round. Be aware there are sometimes fishers who will try and access the site. The Rangers have confirmed this site is not open to the public when reserved. Be sure to keep the gate closed and locked.

The campground itself is great. Potable water would be nice but I've got filters and it's right on 3 rivers. It used to be a day use area. Subsequently there tends to be people stopping at the top of the driveway or riding bikes down and using the restroom. I personally don't care but the point is you get uninvited visitors in camp. Unfortunately my friend was the last one in camp and his tent unattended as he was out samon fishing. He came back to a couple local tweaker scumbags ransacked his tent/camping gear. Be careful about leaving your stuff unattended.

PROS: The site is great, love the large shelter with 4 giant tables, big fire pit, and the nearby stream. Huge area for multiple tents. 2nd smaller fire pit and 2 additional tables outside of shelter.

CONS: Right off of Highway 22 (Road noise and unwelcome visitors). Maintenance issues.

Check out Hebo Lake and the Viewpoint on top of Mt. Hebo!

The area is isolated and private, with a wonderful covered dining area. We had plenty of room for tents, and a game of kickball. We were lucky that the gate was unlocked. The gate code should be part of the reservation confirmation, or emailed by the rangers, instead of requiring the reservation holder to call for it.

Great group site, plenty of room. Close to the river, but the grass is really high around the bank. My husband caught a few fish. The big cover was great since it rained most of the time. Bring lawn games, plenty of great flat space. The highway noise is really loud, but it seemed less noticable as time went on. The big fire pit is AWESOME! There is a vault toilet but no water. We had a trailer and truck, our other friends had tents. Plenty of room, but wouldn't recommend multiple RVs.

The park is in a bit of disrepair. The fire pit is severely damaged. We are excited about the prospect of a gazebo. The cost is high in relation to available amenities.
