The campground is nice. When you make your reservation online be very careful because it is confusing and you may not end up reserving as many nights as you believe you did, this happened to atleast 4 groups including myself and the park rangers don't care they will refer you to the reservation company that really doesn't care that their reservation system sucks. Also be prepared to camp with the homeless campers who are allowed to camp here even though they don't have horses, this campground is supposedly reserved for people with horses but again camp rangers will not enforce this I personally feel a group of horse people should go and camp in the normal campground with their horses to make a statement.

Wild Mare is a great place to camp. Cell service is better in some direction than others. Unless it is raining or the wind is blowing expect mosquitoes.
