The campground is clean, well-run, and conveniently located near the dunes. The campsites themselves are very spare, small, and have no privacy or barrier between neighboring sites.

Nice quiet time. Forest Service could do a favor to everyone and TRY to get after IVY and Blackberries, especially down near boat ramp. Great that IVY has been cut around large spruce and fir trees. Thanks for that!!! Spaces 18 and 16 are 'designed' for a 'group in mind and worked great. Some branches could be trimmed to improve the view. The fire rings were nicer to warm up (esp. when sitting) when the sides were not 3' but 1 1/2' in height. Did not have any interaction with Host, which was fine.

Great lake & campsite. Campground suffering from no current on site representative. No toilet paper in womans 3 days running. No one canvassing to make sure random folks dont just stay at open sites (which they do). A sizable hole in one site that could lead to injury if not filled. I had the time so picked up candy wrappers a d dog poop while I was there, because I love the place. Please get an on site supervisor! This is a most splendid campground, excellent swim & boat site that will suffer if left unattended.
It's close enough to the highway to hear vehicular traffic. However the lake right there helps make up the difference. It is a very small campground and during peak summer times you will be pushed on top of each other,
Generally very pleasant low key campground with a fair bit of Hwy 101 road noise during the day, quiets down at night. A lot of clueless campers these days (a couple mistakenly occupied our reserved site due to not reading the site number correctly). The current camp hosts (July/Aug 2021) are real gems, very helpful and diligent in their duties, did a great job reducing conflicts between campers, always available. They get 5 + stars.
The Recreation.gov reservations website, on the other had gets zero or negative stars. It is expensive, clunky, difficult to use and is apparently selling reservations to scalpers who then re-sell them marked up on Craigslist, etc. This is one reason you can’t reserve a site online, yet when you get to the campground, many sites go unoccupied. Bring back First Come First Served!!
The campground is fine but the reservation system sucks. Signs on all the campsites said that they must be reserved, but the place was essentially empty while we were there. No signs of a campground host, no indication of what sites were actually reserved. We observed the same situation at other campgrounds along the coast, signage saying that all sites must be reserved in advanced but plenty of empty sites. No way to know which had actually been reserved. No dates on the posts.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
