All the amenities were clean and functional, and the camp host was very nice!
Mosquitoes were worse than we expected and even though we called the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area visitor center, the staff person there really had no idea how the mosquitoes were at the campground and said not to worry about them. She thought they would be minimal. That wasn't the case. It would be nice if there was a Facebook page for this campground, like other campgrounds have, alerting visitors to current conditions.

It was nice enough, however, I reserved a spot for one vehicle and one pop up trailer. After I had my site set up the park ranger came by the next day and said I had to move my trailer onto the parking spot and would have to pay extra to park in the day parking area. That was not posted anywhere at the site nor on the website when I made the reservation which specifically said the spot was for one trailer AND one vehicle.

Very disappointed with this campground. We reserved a spot for a 12ft trailer and truck, we were able to reserve site #30 so we assumed it would be able to accommodate our equipment. Upon arrive of our site it could only accommodate a compact car so we had to park the truck and trailer by the restrooms on the grass. Later that night the camp host "Gypsy" told us we would need to move immediately. There was no where for us to move to so we ended up leaving the truck and trailer parked on the grass by the restrooms. We left the following morning at 5am and didn't stay the next night even though we had it for 2 nights.

Cramped campsites with zero privacy. Left the campground immediately when I spotted my campsite. The surrounding activities are excellent, but unless you’re in the mood for a non-private group experience this is not the place for you.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quiet and peace we found here! The camp host kept their distance (we’ve had hosts invade our privacy many times) The bathrooms were clean, and the activities near by were great. Kid and Dog friendly. The hike to the beach was rough with the little ones but we made it!!
The one and only thing we were a bit unhappy with was the proximity between campsites, and how they all seem to be attached to one another. We had site #30, and once we used our tent to block the path to #29 it was private enough for our little family.
