We were there for the labor day weekend, booked 2 campsites. The campsites are well spaced out. The bathroom were clean (some had flushes, others didn't). THere is no shower (which was counter-intuitive because people would go swimming in the lake.)

Get experience, beautiful campground and lake. The spot was a bit difficult to navigate into. We did show up in the pitch black of night and some nice neighbors and a host came over to help out.

Loved our campground #17 very spacious and close to the restrooms! We loved that the lake was so close and walking distance. It was very peaceful and so relaxing

Stayed at Space 106. Site is small/medium size. Spaces are very close to neighbors and you can hear em snore at night, lol. Restrooms are not exactly cleanthey are basically a large hole and they have plastic toilets you sit on. They smell a lot, especially in the morning hours (take some air freshener). The lake is just a few feet away and it is amazing! I have Verizon and the service is awesome! Had service all weekend.

Great environment but they should enforce the quit zone that starts at 10pm. We had a group of people next to our campground be loud until 2am for several days. It ruined our experience but it is a beautiful location.

Very relaxing 10 day trip. No bear sightings. Campground host were nice people. My wife and I are in are late 70s and i do recommend the boost oxygen that you see on TV. It really helps especially the first few days up there.

I've been coming here since I was a boy (a long time), and I've never seen things this tidy and the restrooms that clean. Excellent work, people.

I would say our stay was excellent, but the spot we were given, No. 77 I believe, was like camping in a parking space. Way too small. Luckily our two friends weren't able to make it. There would have been no way we would have fit. Our camp hosts were awesome and the campground itself was nice. Just the small space. I will never book again and get that spot.

When making my reservation I told the agent that I have a truck with trailer and a car and was not informed there would be an extra charge for the car. I was not told the truck and trailer would be treated as two vehicles. Signs for the check-in office are not well placed and made it difficult to find. There was no running water in the bathrooms to wash your hands with. Management and maintenance need improvement.

Rancheria is my place to go when I need to clear my mind. I love this place, the hosts, the lake and everything around. Thank you for this place!

Awesome campground. Great hosts and team to help. Recreation.gov not so much. Their information is not accurate at all and cannot be depended on for making informed decisions. My trailer would not fit, although based on their descriptions and information, including calling Recreation.gov to confirm, I should have had no trouble with fitting the trailer. I slept in the parking lot until morning, when the wonderful on-site staff helped me figure out and look for a site that would accommodate. As to the campground and lake, it was one of the nicest places I have camped.

Its clean quiet and the bathrooms were clean

This was our 4th year in Rancheria and it was not as nice as the previous 3 visits. We noticed trash in the fire pit, around the sites, and during our walks. In the past you knew exactly the time of day the restrooms were cleaned, twice, this time, I'm not sure they were cleaned maybe every few days. We enjoy our time here and can look past all this, but, it wasn't our best visit.

People were burning the wooden parking barriers next to us resulting in a huge morning fire. Hosts should remove the broken parking barriers and monitor the morning fires. Especially on the weekend when less experienced campers are filling the campground.
@MitchellM47055 · Camped on Aug 7, 2025 at Campsite #57
57 is a deep site with two areas for tents. Water is right next door. I recommend also booking 59 because if you dont, they will be staring right at you. Its like they shoved an extra site in. If you dont like neighbors, look on the other side of the main road as those sites have no one behind them.

Beautiful camp site with great views. A bit too close to our neighboring camp site but overall a very nice roomy spot. The bathrooms could use some TLC since only one stall worked and the outside sink was out of order too, but the quiet beauty that surrounded us made up for it :)

Rancheria campground is very nice. Camp hosts interaction had minimal contact with campers. Definitely needs improvement with camp hosts helping campers to understand rules (quiet hours, number of tents allowed in sites, address barking dogs). Better training required.

Many visits here at Rancheria. Very disappointed in the change of hosts, management and maintenance. Through the park, many bathrooms without working faucets, non locking doors and fans. A fellow camper temporarily fixed a lock however the previously replaced latch had not been properly installed so it would not stay fixed. Despite the rules stating no more than 2 tents/6 people per site, a nearby group had 5 tents with an unknown number of campers however clearly more than 6. The large group did not quiet down until 1:30 am and back up at 6:30 chopping wood. One host had a rodent alarm that noisily ran continuously disturbing all the close campers. Very little communication between the above entities -Im not responsible for that without relaying issues to who IS responsible. Word on the street is that there is significant dissension between the above entities which might explain the lack of corrective measures. One improvement noted though was FINALLY a second trash pickup per week. The garbage around the trash bins was disgusting, not to mention the critters it attracted. This is a wonderful place to stay however the lack of care certainly affects the overall experience for everyone.

Very level site. Awesome view of the lake. Site was raked and clean when we arrived. Close enough to the bathrooms which were clean. The only negative was the fact that the camp host, who was directly across the road from us, was using some sort of rodent deterrent that made an annoying shrill sound the whole time we were there. Very disappointing!

Camp Host Darlene is Awesome! Very friendly. Best camp bathrooms I have ever been in. Wish we could clone her!

WE had a great time. The lake was full and beautiful. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Campground was clean and neat. We hiked to Rancheria Falls and Indian Pools. We drove to Lake Edison. Only caught one Trout.

I want a refund on both sites for 1 night because the restrooms were not operating.The trash was not picked up the entire week which attracted Bears.It was an awful experience

The camping site is big but almost all sites are not far away from lake. A morning walk with little kid along the lake is so nice. Fishing is popular, from camping ground we can access very good spot. However we don't have good luck this time. The lake water is crystal clean and is good for swimming in a hot summer day. The host is vey nice. The first day the flush toilet next to our site got problem but they fix it the next day. I wish I can bring kids to come back again!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
