Restrooms near our campground were not working. Other then that its a beautiful campground. It would be really nice if they had showers.

The camping site is big but almost all sites are not far away from lake. A morning walk with little kid along the lake is so nice. Fishing is popular, from camping ground we can access very good spot. However we don't have good luck this time. The lake water is crystal clean and is good for swimming in a hot summer day. The host is vey nice. The first day the flush toilet next to our site got problem but they fix it the next day. I wish I can bring kids to come back again!

I have been to this campground before and had an excellent time. After they shut down for a few years, things seem to have changed for the worse. The campsites and the lake itself are beautiful places to be. Truly a great place to spend a weekend. The camp hosts and management are trying their best to ruin your weekend though... Other reviewers are correct that they require you to visit a Tuff Shed set up in the corner of the boat launch parking lot across the street from the Lakeshore Resort in order to check in. Once you spend 30 minutes waiting for the two people ahead of you to check in with their highly trained staff and pay your extra $10 per night for any more than 1 vehicle (which seems a bit scammy when you can fit cars two into the parking spots, but oh well), you can start your camping trip. One of the hosts was very weird though. He came by after we set up camp to tell us they were "shutting off the water and the wells will run dry by tomorrow" which is as currently advertised on their website. Luckily we did not run dry as the spigots continued to flow for the weekend. Later that evening, the same man came by chastising us for having a campfire claiming he told us we could not have one, and that the ranger service could come by and give us a hefty fine. However, he did manage to pass by 5 different fires that he didn't care about before landing at our campsite. Just an overall odd experience that was a shame for such a beautiful campground and lake.

I want a refund on both sites for 1 night because the restrooms were not operating.The trash was not picked up the entire week which attracted Bears.It was an awful experience

Beautiful lake view and other campers were pleasant. We were disappointed by the amount of litter in our campsite (empty soda cans, plastic bags, etc). There was also a weird greasy/waxy substance all over the table and benches and spilled at various places on the the ground. It seemed that there were multiple hosts in the campground, but I never found one until wed already been there five days. When we did meet one, she was upset that we hadnt checked in with some office in town, which she insisted was the correct process. We are not new to USFS campsites. Normally, the hosts comes by on your first day. The lady insisted we should have known to check in at some office in town.

My campsite was in an area where each site was more dispersed - lovely quiet.

Site #74 was very nice with a partial view of the lake, and it was flat. The table and firepit areas were freshly raked. The site was well maintained, beautiful area and great cool weather. The only downside was around 6PM Sunday night smoke from a nearby forest fire moved in and obscured our view. A worthwhile day hike is nearby Rancheria Falls which is an easy hike. The water flow was a little low but still worth it.

We LOVE Rancheria. We stay there every year. It is our one main family vacation trip a year. That being said while we had a great time as always there were some major downsides this year. The flush toilets went out because a well pump went out. The toilets and pump failures were not preventable issues, but the camp host reaction to them and there management's reaction is preventable.The campground was crowded so the systems will be taxed, maybe install some more flush units or more vault units. Hosting staff should be vetted better for customer service. There was one gentle that wouldn't stop and did the absolute minimum to communicate and deal with campground issues. He went as far as to say nothing was his problem cause he was off till thursday. However his wife is an all-star and was a breathe of fresh air. When the toilets and water system went down there was no communication from host or management. Only one set of flush toilets were locked increasing the strain on the remaining set. No signs communicating what was going on or what facilities were affected to location of what was still available.

Campground plumbing/restrooms are suffering from significant deferred maintenance. Half of the bathrooms did not lock and of the four with sinks and running water, only one sink actually functioned. Firewood bundles were unavailable from mid-week onward, despite temps dipping into the high 40s.

Site is spacious and well kept. Driveway is a bit steep driving in, but levels off to fit our 18ft trailer nicely. Close to flushing restrooms, but also not too close. Is on the upper side of campground and further from lake, but is walkable or even easier is an easy drive to lot next to lake. One of our favorite single sites in Rancheria.

Great campsite, some of the cleanest campsite bathrooms I have ever seen. Rancheria falls is incredible. Worth hiking directly from the campsite. You can drive to the trail head, but the road up is rough and the hike itself after that is quite short. Lovely experience overall, highly recommended

My family and I loved this campground! We stayed at site #36. There wasnt much shade but it wasnt too bad. Staff were all very welcoming and restrooms were super clean. We already booked our next trip! In order to check-in you have to drive outside of the campground towards the boat ramp. Check-in is a bit further down the road behind the post office.

Toilets were excellent. Campground clean and well maintained. Only negative was the generator noise from the neighbors.

My family made reservations for site 120 at Rancheria. Unfortunately my 34ft travel trailer did not fit in that space ( even though it said that it could on line) due to being at a high slanted tight spot to back into and my back end of the trailer bottoming out. We went to talk to the check in desk and the ladies were really nice to try and help us. They ended up finding one emergency spot that they had left at Deer Creek since all the campsites were full. On a positive note, we had a spot to camp, but all our friends were over at Rancheria, so that was the only part that was disappointing because we couldnt all be at the same campground. It still worked out since we got a spot, but hopefully the campground notes that that spot/site 120 does not fit longer trailers and is a very tight spot to reverse into. The back of my trailer bottomed out and it was a good thing there wasnt any damage.

Fantastic campground. Clean restrooms, great location, easy parking, helpful staff and camp hosts. Some of the restrooms are in need of maintenance, either they dont have functioning sinks, or the doors dont lock. Also, finding the check in booth was very confusing.

Weekend partiers have no campground etiquette, so sad that the generators and music overpower everything else.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
