This was my second time visiting Mono Hot Springs, and this time I brought my dad with me as a Fathers Day gift. I couldnt have asked for a better experience to share with him. From the moment we arrived, the energy felt calm, welcoming, and familiar. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always willing to chat or offer tips about the area, and the other campers were just as warm quick to smile, wave, or share a story by the fire. What I love most about Mono is the sense of community it naturally creates. Its one of those rare places where time slows down. Once youre up there, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and forests, it feels like the rest of the world fades away. Everyone who comes seems to be there for the same reasons to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature, with others, and even with themselves.Theres something special about soaking in a hot spring under the open sky, hearing nothing but the sound of the wind through the trees and the occasional laughter of fellow campers. Its peaceful, grounding, and deeply healing. Watching my dad relax into that space chatting with strangers, cooking over the campfire, and sitting in the hot pools with a look of pure contentment meant everything to me. I could tell he felt just as much peace there as I did.Mono Hot Springs isnt just a campground its an experience, a feeling. Its a place where people slow down, connect, and leave a little lighter than when they arrived. I already cant wait to go back.

Road is dangerous. Rough one way blind corners, few turn outs. Lots of mosquitos. Lakes are low due to drought.
