The setting is beautiful. Unfortunately rec.gov cant seem to fix toilets. Theres 3 out of 4 working toilets for both loops. I think thats 23 sites. The fourth has been converted into a storage closet. Reason: its hard to find plumbers. They turn off the water on Wednesdays and direct you to toilets at the ramp. No notice posted the day before that this is the case. Picture a full bladder making it to the restroom and learning you need to go another half mile.We and everyone else has a good time IN SPITE OF rec.gov but I sure wish care, custody, and control would go back to the Forest Service or whatever agency used to manage the campground.

The campground was clean & the bathrooms were always fresh and stocked.Site 13 was great because it was right on the water however there was a huge power pole and lead lines between us and the water (I just edited them out of the pictures)Nice amount of space between us and other campers. Everyone was super respectful and had good camping knowledge till the last night when a couple moved in who I guess thought that everyone wanted to listen to rap music as the sun set over the lake.

Very peaceful, quite, and clean campground.

The campground is relatively unchanged since last year. The fire mainly affected areas in the westernmost and southern part of the lake shore. The store, restaurant, and saloon are closed, but the small store at the gas station is open. We had a wonderful week by the lake, hiking the lakeshore and exploring the Kaiser Pass Rd to Edison Lake and the Potter Pass loop. Mono Hot Springs looks to be in full operation.
