I recently visited Bass Lake and wanted to share my feedback. The lake itself is lovely, and the water temperature is always perfect for swimming, which is a great draw. However, I found that most, if not all, of the campsites are not level. They either have a significant slant or a large dip. Our group reserved 17 different campsites, and I personally checked each one, finding similar issues. Spending a week on an uneven surface was hard on our legs, and those of us with trailers found it impossible to level them adequately.I believe that if the park could address the leveling of these campsites, it would greatly enhance the visitor experience and prevent future negative reviews related to this issue.Despite this, I would still recommend Bass Lake as a destination.

I love visiting bass lake and all their campgrounds. Getting away to relax is what I look most forward too. Unfortunately, here the surrounding campsites with larger party’s we’re very loud past 10:00pm. I woke up to music playing next to us and out in the distance and no sign of the host enforcing lights out. The campground itself is beautiful and very close to Millers.

We had a great time at Bass Lake and would recommend the area to families However, the Camp Hosts were less than helpful. The trash is not often picked up and bears and other wildlife will cause a mess on the grounds & roads. Our campsite was near the trash cans (not bear boxes) and had concern that the bears would come ravage the trash at night. We brought our concern to the hosts which they both were not enthused and said "what can you do, the trash gets picked up in a couple of days". Sure enough, that night multiple bears and raccoons destroyed the bags of trash. The neighbors dogs alerted us that animals were near us. The trash was not picked up by the hosts but fellow campers. The bathrooms were also pretty unattended and we had to ask the hosts to clean (clogged toliet, clogged sinks, trash overflowing). When we gave the hosts a heads up about the restrooms the woman's reply was "great" with a sassy undertone. Needless to say, we enjoyed the area but not the campsite and got little sleep. More trashcans are needed, bear boxes, and trash picked up more often.

Great location, easy lake access. Not far from Yosemite!
