Perfect for access to Yellowstone without the traffic. Beautiful river views. Loved the water source. It takes you back to a simpler time. The huckleberries were ripe and all around our site. The host was top notch. She helped us with many questions.

This is a hard sided camping vehicle site only, so not for tents, which we somehow had not realized. The hosts were very nice and helped us find another option

Sites felt private and location was close to Yellowstone National Park entrance. Quiet space

Excellent dry camp ground with great access to the East entrance and/or reasonable access to the North East entrance of Yellowstone national park. Many commercial guide or outfitting services are available on the road to Cody if you get tired of the park?

The most important point is that the campground is three miles from the Yellowstone Park East Gate. The East Gate is 26 miles from the Grand Loop junction at Fishing Bridge. Many people stay in Cody Wyoming, but it is 49 miles from Three Mile Campground. Do the math. You will be driving all day.
The campground is very well organized. The camp host was very helpful and present. The sites were pull in and back in and several of them could accommodate longer rigs. The loop around the campground is easy to navigate and the sites are well marked. The amount of shade on the sites varies. Site #3 is void of shade and should not be selected in the summer months. Our sites, #2 and #5 were practically level and required very little adjustment.
There are no phone signals or WI-Fi services in the campsite. This is a Dry Camping experience seen in Most National Forests.
We stayed in Three Mile Campground in a 25 foot Motorhome.
