Take caution on this one. My site said 39 ft, yep you could do that. The very narrow road makes it extremely difficult to back into. I had to go backwards only one way Road to back into my site. No one was checking site occupancy and I had to ask someone to leave my site. Be bubbling River only steps away was beautiful including the whole Forest Area.

As always an excellent campground. Unfortunately it rained a lot.

We were only there for one night, but want to return to this beautiful, quiet area. The flood had closed some sites, but luckily, not ours. The camp host greeted us and told us about the flooding and some places to go. Super clean pit toilet. They have the bear food storage boxes I like that are up higher on longer legs with the door opening downward so you have a platform to maneuver your items easier. And I loved falling asleep to the sound of the river.

Great little campground. Was very quiet with very little road noise. We only stayed one night, getting in late and leaving early. But it was comfortable and we didn't have any issues. I would stay here again if I am in the area.

Dennis was very helpful and offered nearby hiking options. Some of the sites are a little close together but for the most part, this campground is quiet and close to Cooke City and Yellowstone NP. We would definitely stay here again. We did have some concerns with road noise but the road sets up a little higher from the campground and was never an issue.

Amazing host and FS volunteer. They love the area and helping campers enjoy their vacation. They went the extra mile for us and manage lots special efforts such as mosquito traps.
Very small organized little lollipop loop with every spot a winner. We may have had the best one though.
The water was clean and easy to pump, dumpsters were handy at the entrance and the river is stunning. Bring the bug juice for evenings.
It was only about 1/2 hour to the NE entrance of Yellowstone and the hiking around Sunlight
Basin is wonderful. Driving the Beartooth highway may have been the highlight of our trip, but we had many in this spectacular area.

Hunter Peak Campground is near to many fishing and sightseeing experiences. We didn't get our favorite site, but still enjoyed our stay. The campground host is congenial and takes an interest in every camper.

Great place to explore Northern Yellowstone and no crowds! Small Campground, caretaker is awesome!!! Swimming, fishing, everything you need. Mosquitoes are the only drawback. But it was the end of July, mosquitoes are everywhere. Get some Sawyers permethrin lotion, and stay away from people here. We will never stay inside the park again after being here. Can't wait until next year to go back!

Very pretty campground on the beautiful river. Plenty of room between spots, but difficult to maneuver with a trailer and ours is only 18 feet.

Some of the camp sites are very tight to get a 30 ft fifth wheel trailer into. Camp host is very helpful and friendly! Fishing is close by but the mosquitoes can be to much at times!
