We had a lovely experience at this campground. The host was non-invasive and the area was well cleaned.

Great base camp for Yellowstone without all the crowds. Quiet campground, well kept.

When we entered the West Yellowstone entrance to that National Park nobody knew the name of the campground, it seemed too far for us to drive, and we easily found sites inside Yellowstone National Park. My experience there and earlier at the Grand Canyon National Park has led me to believe signing up for a campsite on your website before we go to a campgrounds is a waste of time.
Google searches never revealed where this site was located. Something was very wrong.

Amazing campground. Easy access to Beartooth Highway and Chief Joseph. Camp host was fantastic and offered a number of "tips and tricks" for enjoying the area!

The camp site that we reserved was occupied when we arrived. They claimed they had a reservation, however, did not offer any proof.

We were lucky in that another site was available (not as nice). There should be procedures outlined on the check-in instructions for this situation. I would suggest the RECREATION.GOV should have some sort of "consequences" when someone takes a campsite that is reserved by someone else. What good is a reservation system if one cannot rely on the reservation.

Gorgeous campground with great access to the Beartooth Highway! Be sure to check out nearby Crazy Creek Falls - they were beautiful! We stayed in site 6 which was right on the river & had great privacy. The camp host was incredibly friendly & told us about nearby places to visit. There were a LOT of mosquitoes, but I think that's fairly normal for this area. Bring lots of bug spray! Some people there had bug zappers which seemed great & helpful, as well as head bug nets.
