We were pleasantly surprised that there was water and flushing toilets available.... You need to update the website!!!! We just used the site as a break from our drive from Santa Cruz to Eugene Oregon. It's nothing extra special and you can hear the highway, but overall it was very clean and, as I said, there is water!!!

I love the peace, quiet and privacy of this campground, as well as the proximity to the lake! However, the bathrooms are out of order and the water spigots are non-potable, contrary to what the website states. The lack of flushing toilets and bathroom sinks to wash up could be ignored, but in my opinion, it is very important that the website is updated to reflect the non-potable water, so guests know that we need to bring all our own drinking and washing water, especially in this hot summer weather.

We have camped at Bailey Cove many times in the past. Shasta Lake is absolutely beautiful and so full this year. We had a great time on the actual lake. The campground, however, was a horrible experience this trip. There are signs that there is no potable water, all of the bathrooms are closed at the campground and boat launch. They brought in a few port-o-potties that in 100 plus temps- smell horrendous when they are only changed once a week. Some of the BBQ hinges were broken and our bear boxes didn’t close or latch properly. We kept our food in our car since the ants were out of control and cleaned up right after each meal. We hope Bailey Cove gets some much needed money put back into it.

There were no amenities, firewood, or potable water. Only porta potties. It was spacious, gorgeous and quiet at night, though noisy children road through on bikes until dark. There was loud road noise from 101. The lake was beautiful and there were great trails around it. It was expensive for having no amentities.

We had the best time. Our only issue was that the water was bad. They had signs up that testing failed but still giving it a 5 stars as I’m sure it’s temporarily. Campsite 7 is by far the best out of all of them. Very secluded and private and HUGE! The water was amazing and it was so peaceful. Yes you can hear the road but not from the water and at night it calms down. The bit of road noise actually made me feel safe from the bears. Lol

We stayed on S # 7, great site, loved the space and the privacy, some noise at night from really close freeway, no big deal. Water level in lake really low...we knew that, but we were expecting flush toilets and drinking water as ADVERTISED, there were porta potties though. We weren’t warned about the water or the bathrooms/showers wouldn’t be open, WOULD someone please update the campsite info with the most relevant and latest info??? That is if you care about people keeping on coming here.

Pretty good but we weren’t warned the bathrooms wouldn’t be open?
Porta potties we’re placed practically in an other groups campground and didn’t seem to have been emptied recently
Otherwise quite good! It’s a nice spot, ate some blackberries

Campsite #007 is a good campsite location for a large group with 2 picnic tables and tent pads. Restroom and drinking water are nearby. Downside about campsite, it's really close to I-5 so you can hear vehicles passing by at night and can bother you if you are a light sleeper. Be prepared for honey bees and bugs.
Overall, it is a good campsite !

We stayed in site 3 one night and site 7 the following night, you would think the move would be an undesirable moment but in all honesty it was not that bad. A bit cooler and private in August in site 7, a deep lot and narrow site also closer to bathroom amenities. Water is also nearby. Site 3 is open and wide spaced, it was unclear where site 2 ended or site 3 started, a few big boulders separating the two sites, everyone drives by and collects water in front of site 3. Both had large concrete pads to park rv, cars, trailers etc. both sites had huge picnic wood tables, kinda filthy and splintery but hey, it’s a table, we covered ours if needed. Both sites were clean and garbage service attendants were very nice and friendly. Never saw camp host, but saw the sweet set up as we drove in.
As of aug 2020 the water is no where near the camp site, we just drive down to water hole that is quite muddy but still refreshing. No boat ramp here this time, maybe a canoe or kayak,?
