The main thing I like is there is a host very actively on duty. If people screw up, they hear from him. He's also very helpful with info like where to hike, etc. It didn't hurt that the sheriff cruised through a couple of times. The message was clear that if you wanna screw up/make noise/be unsafe, you'd better go elsewhere.

The site I selected (17) was a barren patch of dirt (you can never tell from the photos what it will *really* be like), and it was right next to another empty campsite whose car was supposed to go directly next to mine, so it looked like it was all one site. So I ended up in 16 by accident, and eventually was told that I had to move when 16 became booked later that day. No problem, camp host was cool and let me move to what I thought was a better spot. But then what happened on the second day I was there ruined the rest of my trip. I was at my new campsite, enjoying the quiet outdoors with the other young families, when a caravan of 5 huge pickup trucks and 2 cars came barreling through the campground past me, as though there were no children present, went all the way around and got to their group site, and then all those families and all their kids spilled out and set up their camp. I could see them from across the meadow. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and all was fine, until... the music started. Suddenly the whole campsite was at a party. What to do? Then the clown horns started (I'm not even kidding). THEN the teenagers on their Razors started racing down the blacktop, screaming and laughing and riding right in front of my campsite. I considered that I would have to listen to that for 4 more hours until quiet time, and even then I couldn't guarantee the camp host would be able to control 7 families worth of disruption. So I packed up and drove 6 hours back home. I would not recommend this campground if you are going on the weekend to enjoy peace and quiet.
