Wonderful experience, the bathrooms were clean, although we are in drought it was the only campsite with available portable water usage. Bring your own drinking and cooking water. Please maintain your cooking area clean since there were recent bobcat visitors. There is no phone reception, but you will definitely love the bright stars at night. The Camp Host is very hospitable and available to assist you with any questions you may have. NOTE: Camp 18 is on a first come first serve basis and a lot of people cancel last minute, chances are this location will have one or two nights availability on any given day. There are bear boxes available, however some sites with Tent only do not have a bear box, do your research ahead. I stayed in camp 4 and it did not have a bear box and thankfully, the family in camp 3 shared their bear box with me.

Not a criticism of the campground, but I visited during COVID. Campers were leaving their trash outside the trash bins because they were full. It was extremely hot while I was there; animals raided the trash and it was strewn all over. I think fines could be imposed if anyone is caught leaving trash outside the bin. I mean, come on...walk 500' to the office or find another dumpster.
