This campground site is next to the outdoor post. When we got there and set up camp, the ordor was so pungent, we ended up not being able to stay overnight and just left because the smell was so bad. We tried to power through it, since we already made reservation and paid for the night... but it it was honestly not worth staying... I recommend to book another area/site.

7/27-7/31. Campsite 11 &12
Rated good based on the fact that the area is beautiful with lots to explore & drive to.
As for the sites we had they were completely in the sun and it was HOT-not enough shade. Also they were on an incline. We literally slid down our cots while we slept and were worried we’d fall into our little propane burner because our chairs would tip with the incline. Host was really really nice- although we never saw him until the night before our checkout. Lots of loose dirt on the sites & they are close to neighbors. Definitely not my favorite campground.

If half stars were possible, this campground is definitely 3.5 stars. It seems like the campground has good bones but needs some upkeep. The tent pads were pretty sloped, and the water spigots around us weren't working. Site 12 was listed as "full shade," but many of the trees were cut down so it was pretty warm. Campfires weren't allowed (July 2020), so you might want to put that on your radar.

A few notes on other sites: #9 has the only water spigot on that side, so we walked through the site often; #1 has a bathroom right next to the picnic table; #6 is close to standing water that brought mosquitos; and #10 looked like a great spot.
