Nice sites. Excellent host. Lots of creatures and birds. Great location. Close to the center of town. But the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner.

This campground was great. The sites along the water with the mountains across the road make for a really cozy camp. Unfortunately, we didn't see or catch any fish, so that was a let down. We camped here late December, and enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. Kernville was a pleasantly surprising community and we got some great hot food from the grocery store. Also, the campground host was great. He made us feel right at home and made a positive impact on our stay.

Site was clean, bathrooms were clean with no negative odors, and the camp host was very kind and friendly! Will be back for another easy breezy camping trip.

Clean campground. Great host. Site 22 is prime location, right by the river with a small beach area.

We stayed at site #35 and it was perfect for our vehicle and roof top tent. The host was extremely nice and hand bundles of wood for $8.00 and maintained the pit toilets clean. Our site was right by the river, however I will say if you are planning to stay at this particular site there is room for one tent since the ground is not leveled the closer you get to the river. There was no service, however there was cellphone service in town. Overall, we had a great time and were happy that the town was no more than 10 minutes away which allowed us to get food and drinks easily.

Campsite was falling apart, only space for 1 tent, the rest was the pad for parking and a solid slope down to the only spot for the tent. Bathrooms were not well maintained, fecal matter ON toilets not cleaned off after multiple days. Water was metallic at best. Campground was quiet and respectful, good fire pits and decent tables.

Well kept, clean campground next to a little creek. There are a couple cute, old fashioned towns nearby with some restaurants, bars, and thrifts which was a nice getaway from the rain. Highly recommend going at the end of fall, the river was beautiful with all the leaves changing colors!

Camp host was extremely nice and accommodating when asked to change our sites. Sites we originally reserved didn't have as much shade as we liked. Wish there were pics of the camp sites. But overall, we had a wonderful time.
