Experience was great at Site 17! Camp hosts were so friendly and it was easy to get to the river to cool off or to town for food (:Pros:- Parking could easily fit 6 motorcycles, or two cars. - At least three spots for tents. Cons:- No shade. It was hot mid-July.- A few ant hills throughout the site. - No bear box at this site. - Vault toilets ran out of toilet paper on Saturday night.

Great campground! My wife, our dog, and I stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. The bathrooms were clean, and there were a couple nice spots to swim. Just a heads-uptheres not much shade, so be sure to bring a some cover

Great campsite next to Kern River. Loop 1-39 doesnt have good shade. It will be super hot in summer (July). Great in evenings. Sites 40 onwards have great shades. Toilets are vault but greatly maintained.

We stayed in site 23. Nice site but had a bit of trouble getting our 21' trailer backed in due to boulders on the edges of the driveway. No shade at site but first time there so didn't pick correctly. Hosts are very nice and keep restrooms very clean. Easier access to the river if you stay in the spots beginning with 40s.

Right on the water with clean facilities and attentive camp host. Not bad for pit toilets. Definitely bring shade while in the site. It is warm when you're not soaking in the river.

Very nice campground , we where in camp 9 for Fathers Day weekend. Host was accommodating and they switched our campsite due to too many rocks on camp 16. Water was cold and theres a small river beach down the street. Would recommend. Bathrooms where well kept

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We rolled in around 6 PM after making a detour to hike the Trail of 100 Giants, and they made sure we were all set for the night. They sold us firewood and let us know there was a small general store just three minutes down the roadperfect for grabbing anything wed forgotten (yes, marshmallows included).The campsites are well spaced, and even with a full site next to usincluding kidswe still felt like we had plenty of privacy. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was a peaceful dream. Overall, Id definitely recommend this spot for a quiet and beautiful stay.One note to be aware of: The listing mentions bathrooms, but just to clarifythey're more like glorified outhouses. Think porta-potty style with no sinks, though there is a water spigot outside. Its manageable, but I wish the site had been clearer, as I was expecting standard restroom facilities.Aside from that, the views are stunning, and its a truly magical place to unwind. Would absolutely return.

Incredible campsite! Beautiful views. Close to the river, you can hear it all night. Far away from other campsites. No complaints! Ports potties, running water, a few and piles but nothing crazy!

Great camping location! Its safe, and quiet. The restrooms are clean and there are plenty of water facets throughout the campground. The hosts are super nice and friendly. The only downside is that there lacks good access to the river. Would definitely recommend to others.

We enjoyed very much our time at the camping. We stayed at space 12 and 43. The last one was the best because it has direct access to the river. The bathrooms were very clean, and there was toilet paper. The hosts were very friendly also. Finally, the spaces were very clean and well-equipped; there was a secure box for the food to avoid having issues with bears and plenty of access to drinking water. The two main issues were that there was not too much shadow, so it may be too hot in summer. Also, some visitors were very noisy the first night (on a Saturday) they had loud music and started driving around to celebrate something. The other nights, there were no problems.

One of the best sites at Camp 3 Campground. Very close to the water. Great for young children when the water level is low. No rapids and water moves slow through this part of the river. Great for tubing.

I cannot rave enough about how amazing my experience was at this camp ground! Honestly our camp hosts made it all the better. Excellent hospitality all the way around. My group felt very well taken care of. I would recommend staying here to literally anyone. It has plenty to do for people with all sorts of interests. The drive from LA to the campground felt like nothing, very short trip!

Campsite 041 was great. Enough space to fit two large tents and three canopies. A short walk to clean restrooms and an even shorter walk to the nearest water source. There is a rocky hike down to the river from this site, but our little ones made it up and down with ease, as did our seniors. Campsites 38-47 are prime sites for easy river access. Natural shade is limited, but the same goes for most of the river. Our hosts, Kelly and Kent were gracious and helpful, going out of their way to help search for our missing dog. An instant favorite and will be returning.

The campsite was very desolate dismal and sad. I think the entire campground is like that, you hear the river but there was no easy access. We tried hiking down, it was a rugged 2minute hike and so bad that on the way back we got lost. When I think of camping at Kern river, I want to be by the river, several other campgrounds offer that. I was lucky to find another one people cancelled. I spoke to the host, he was very kind and apologetic, to be honest, he keeps it very clean, so kudos to him.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
