I went here as a kid and this was my 1st time back with my 3 kids (12, 10, 8) We stayed at spot 13 and loved the privacy and creek access. It's right next to the meadow so an occasional cow may wander to your camp. Charles the host was a nice guy with wood for sale too! We hiked to bethany pools and got lost a bit but found our way by using our ears lol. It's at the end of the meadow off to the right. Controlled burns were happening all around and got a bit smokey at night but not too bad. We also found wild strawberries right by the campsites and per my oldest "tasted like candy." Plenty of dry wood on the ground so bring an axe. The water closer to the bathroom doesn't taste as much like pipes as some of the others.

Been coming here for 3 years now, we always love it. The path to get here is very strange as for 99% of the drive it looks like you’re headed nowhere near the forest and then BAM, right at the end you’re suddenly among the trees. Sites are pretty spacious, a nice creek running through the campground as well. Very secluded, quiet and clean. Important to note that it is not a close drive to get into the National Park, don’t stay here if you’re planning on going back and forth. You can make the shorter drive (30 min) if you have a sturdy 4WD but regular cars won’t make it. First year, camp host was Steve, he was extremely diligent about rules for keeping bears away (rinse coolers/food boxes, all scented things into the car, no sleeping in clothes you cooked in etc), second and third years it was Kathy who made no mention of rules even when we asked. Sounds like bears have started to make their way into the campground again so when we went this year we stuck with our usual protocols and had no issues. Used ammonia sprays to make sure all scents of foods were gone and kept everything pristine. Love coming here every year.

Site host was super nice and helpful. It was clean, quite, spacious, very remote and beautiful. The issue is getting to Eshom, better off packing mules and trekking up the mountain side. We had two nights booked only stayed one because we weren't going back up the path google took us to get there. And we had a van, I couldn't imagine if you had a camper van or anything other than a small vehicle. The road was so narrow and it was all switchbacks. We stayed here because Sequoia campgrounds were full, it was an hour drive after leaving the campground to get to sequoia so that's another reason we opted to not go back.
